Here’s what really discourages me the most

Sure, the POS currently sullying the White House carries the most responsibility for fostering hate, discrimination, homophobia and just about every other worse impulse in human nature. But he couldn’t win with that strategy if there weren’t a lot of homophobes and racists in America. And that’s what I find the most discouraging.

I had no idea the veneer of tolerance and compassion was so thin in America. POS didn’t have to scratch the surface very hard to find hundreds of thousands of people who feel they finally have someone who speaks to them. And that someone is a racist, a homophobe, an isolationist and a man who can’t tell the truth because he wouldn’t know it if it bit him in the butt. And that man, a liar, a serial philanderer, a pussy grabbing sexist, has found a welcome home in the darkest recesses of our society.

So when people tell me to back off and try to understand these people who support him… people who chant for Hillary to be put in jail as though she were still an election threat, those who put white sheets on their heads and carry tiki torches to show just how feared they should be, the militias encouraged by this ass’s denunciation of our rule of law… when I’m told we need to come together and have a dialog and find a common meeting ground, my answer is screw you.

I am not compromising with racists or homophobes or the KKK. I am not moving from my position that all people are welcomed in America, slavery was not a choice and assault rifles belong behind locked doors on a military base if they belong anywhere. I find the people who support this POS make me sick to my stomach. They care only about themselves and see no need to care about anyone else. Once they get theirs, their attitude is they’ll take after you with their assault rifle if you try to get any for yourself.

In short, lest there be any doubt, I find anyone who still supports Trump to be unethical, unprincipled, un-likeable and, to put it succinctly, abhorrent, reprehensible and without any decency, morals or ethics. Sadly, this includes almost every “evangelical Christian” I’ve ever met or heard about so… I guess Jesus loses too.

I see no bright light at the end of this dark tunnel for America. I’m only grateful that most of my life was spent in a country with honor and values and ethics. Now that they are all gone and we’ve become the laughing stock of the world, I’m just as happy to be on the dying end of my life. I don’t particularly see any joy in hanging around much longer.
