Yesterday, two allies of the POS currently sullying the White House became convicted criminals. One of those people ran his campaign. The other was his lawyer. Yet somehow he’d like us to think that he knew nothing about them or their criminal intent.
OK, so let’s take POS at his word. He knew nothing about it. So how stupid does that make him and his staff? Wouldn’t you hope that the people at the top echelons of our government would have the skills needed to investigate the background of anyone purporting to serve a person claiming to be the president of the United States? So again, the question must be asked, how stupid are they?
This type of background check is not hard to do if you really want to do it. This is clearly evidenced by the fact that no other president except Nixon had this kind of problem with his staff being part of the problem. I can pay about $6 a month to multiple online search companies and come up with all the information they could possibly need about the people applying for jobs with either the campaign or the government.
But apparently the Trumpettes in the inner circle decided not to do this – I’m guessing for fear of what they’d find. Because let’s be honest here, POS’ ability to pick people is, at best, questionable. If he had any real skill at it, there wouldn’t be a revolving door of staff at the White House. And the people leaving wouldn’t be leaving for less than honorable purposes. And he wouldn’t have to call someone he himself chose a “dog” or any other pejorative.
We all know that POS has the ethics of… well, quite frankly, I can’t think of any animal, mineral or vegetable that wouldn’t be insulted by that comparison. So let’s just say he has the ethics of Roy Moore and leave it at that. So it’s not the ethics of the situation that bothers me as much as the fact that he and his staff are so stupid. Well, except for Steve Miller who is just pure evil. But stupid people tend to make stupid decisions. Any doubt about that should be erased based on the decisions coming out of the White House to gut all environmental regulations even as the world experiences the horror of climate change on a daily basis. And that’s what scares me the most.
The people in the White House today are making decisions that are so blindly stupid and tilted towards their moneyed overlords that the rest of us don’t stand a chance. They will keep grabbing all the money, leaving little to none for the rest of us. And when they have completely destroyed this world with trash and pollution, they will take their money and buy tickets to a colony on Mars, leaving the rest of us to die in the choking dust of contaminated earth.
Does it get any worse? Sadly, I fear it will.
