How long will it be before airlines are forced to put in seats that are actually as big as their customers?

Americans have rightly reached a point where the sorry spectacle emanating from our nation’s capitol is making our stomachs turn. The small minority of voters that feel an affiliation to the Tea Party holds a disproportionate sway over the decisions made in Washington DC based on what seems to be their motto, “My way or the highway”. This very vocal group believes they have the only answers our country needs and everyone should either come around to their point of view or they’ll let the government collapse to show us they mean business.

History shows that when one group dominates

When I turned 21, I highly resented being carded to see if I was old enough to drink. I wanted to look old enough without any ID needed.

Now, when I get my senior discount at the movies, I quietly pray to be carded in the hope that there is someone left in the world who doesn’t automatically assume I’m that old because I look it.

If dreams reflect an alternate reality breaking through out consciousness, then I am really depressed because I apparently have allergies in that reality also and spend an inordinate amount of time struggling to breathe through a nose that is plugged up with at least four corks.

It started raining the day my friend Grace arrived. It’s a week later and it’s still raining. The rain is predicted to last until the end of this week. She leaves the end of this week. I wonder if she’ll ever forgive me and Alaska for this fun two week vacation?

Why do people always sound so startled when they say “That outfit looks nice” to me?

… it will only be because the republican candidates are even worse. But I’ll do it holding my nose and wishing there was someone with the balls to stand up to billionaires and actually fight for the rest of America. What a huge disappointment they all are.

But the only thing that makes the current mess even slightly tolerable is the alternative is unthinkable.

Do the tea partyers not get that for democracy to function, you must have compromise. Because if you don’t have compromise, if it’s my way or the highway, then you have the rule of one and that is not a democracy.
