Panic is the best motivator

I sit here in Vegas, relaxing to the incessant noise of the penny slot machines, and wonder if I’m the only person in the world who uses panic as motivation. I knew I was taking this trip for months. I left on Thursday. On Monday I realized I had a list a mile long I’d not yet dealt with that needed handling before I left for two weeks. Got it all done by the skin of my nose… but got it done.

Best cookbook ever

If you want to get a cookbook that has the best of southern cooking from family recipes, go to [email protected] and buy one. I think the cost is either $15 or $20. Sonya is not a business. She created this cookbook from her family recipes as well as the recipes she collected over a lifetime of great cooking. Well worth the investment… AND, you help Bird TLC.

I have to wonder

Prop 5

I’ve read and heard people being berated for supporting Proposition 5 by being called liberals. And I have to wonder. When did basic civil rights become only a liberal cause?
