I’m sure that you are already aware of the situation, but we are trying to get the word out about the Anchorage Ordinance AO NO. 2009-64, which our city Assembly will be voting on June 9th. The purpose of the bill is very simply stated and long overdue for our community; it extends protection from workplace discrimination to include veteran status and sexual orientation. However, in the few days left before the vote, Rev. Jerry Prevo of the Anchorage Baptist Temple has vowed to strike down the ordinance, using all the powers of his congregation and bully pulpit.
A new website has emerged: www.sosanchorage.com, which highlights all the irreparable damage that workplace equality will wreak upon our city if the gay agenda has their way.
My fiance and I have erected a counter-website at www.sosanchorage.net to highlight all of the blatant falsehoods and misleading information provided by this website to scare people into a panic and preempt workplace equality.
There’s only two of us, though, and a lot more of them. We need help. They are adding more lies to their website before we have the time to set the record straight on their other accusations.
