If this isn’t as secure and peaceful as you will ever be in life, I don’t know what it. Meet Isaiah Amidon and friend enjoying a quiet snooze. If only life could always be this good….
pictures
No one and no thing should ever be allowed to be this cute.
Puppies like this endanger all curmudgeons by causing us to inadvertently think…and possibly accidentally say out loud….AAAAWWWW!!!!!
Meet Gracie, one of the cutest Portuguese water dog puppies you will ever see. No, she’s not mine. My two old girls are still with me, battling old age and its attendant diseases like I am. Gracie belongs to a friend. I thought by posting the picture, I’d give you all a chance to start your weekend with an AAAAWWWW!!!!!
There’s always the day after letdown
This picture was taken the day Rhodes realized that this would be some of the last times he’d be seeing that dinner for free till he was much, much older.
Rhodes’ vision suddenly comes into focus
This picture was taken the day that Rhodes’ vision finally came into focus at the exact moment his mom was about to breast feed him and he got his first clear view of his dinner.
Judy and that other lady…oh yeah, Hillary
As someone who works for the gaming industry, Judy has learned to smile at everyone. Sometimes it’s easier than other times. You get to guess which time this is.
What this dog is saying
Celia’s look alone says it all. She’s saying, “But mom, I don’t want to live in Tucson with the temperature at 110 and I have to sleep in water to stay cool. I’d so much rather live in Anchorage where it’s cold, damp and dreary.” A good mother would listen.
He’s the cutest baby ever but???butt???
While I will grant you that as a fairy great-godmother I might be prejudiced in thinking that Rhodes is absolutely the handsomest, most wonderful child ever born this millenium, I must also confess that as I look at one of these pictures, I question whether or not his future will entail a tool belt around his waist. He is, I fear, channeling the spirit of Dan Akroyd.
Bragging rights
I know. I know. I’m only the godmother so I really had little to do with this beautiful mom and her son. But damn it, I changed her diapers too so I helped a little. And I’ve changed his diapers, even though it is now exponentially harder for me to get down on the floor for the task. So I should have some bragging rights. And if this isn’t one of the most beautiful mother/child combinations ever in the history of this whole, wide world, then you don’t know squat…because it is.
Emily and Rhodes Vann Pruett. What a gorgeous
Meet Rhodes…possibly the most perfect baby ever
On May 31, 2007, my godchild Emily delivered a beautiful and perfect little baby boy named Rhodes Vann Pruett. He’s so perfect, even his poop doesn’t stink. At least, according to his doting grandmother and great-fairy-godmother, it doesn’t. I chose these two pictures to introduce him to the world because I love the look on Emily’s face as she stares at her new son in the first picture. The second picture I love because I think it proves without a doubt that men start very early clinging to our boobs and this proves it. Even in infancy, Rhodes instinctively knows
Dogs in a carwash
The first time I took Mr. T through a carwash, we had just moved to Anchorage. He was sitting on my friend Janis’ lap when the water hit the car. He leapt into my arms. After that, Mr. T didn’t go for car rides very much. They were just never his cup of tea.
But Blue and Blondie love car rides. So I didn’t think twice about bringing them with me on errands that included a car wash. I have to tell you, the last thing in the world you want is to be in a car wash with the
