This is what old Italian ladies used to do back in Philly during that golden age when they didn’t have to be a size 3 until they died and wearing black was always appropriate because you always knew of someone who died.

They are sitting in front of the original grocery store in the Zeccardi family. The name carries on today although today’s Joe Zeccardi is either a banker or philosopher depending on which generation you’re addressing. Please make it stop

To all the beautiful young ladies out there… stop taking pictures of your naked breasts and sharing them. It truly is getting tiring, boring and just stupid. It stopped being shocking, titillating or in anyway fun a long time ago. Now you just look like old, tired copycats who can’t come up with an original photo.

I know, I know

I am totally ignoring President Obama’s visit to Alaska, which has Alaskans either thrilled or angry depending on whether you are trying to work, walk or drive downtown. I am ignoring this event because everyone with access to a computer is writing about it. Me? I’m headed to Bird TLC for my Tuesday shift where I will smile and laugh happily surrounded by bird poop and frozen mice.

My little sister turns 60 today

Her name is Judy Sereni and if you see her, be gentle. Getting older isn’t easy for any of us but she was always the kid in the family so this marks a turning point that none of us want to face… though, as you can see from this picture, she’s not going down into old age without a fight.
