Mafia hit man Crazy Phil Leonetti has written a book about the Philadelphia mob. He was from my old neighborhood in Atlantic City. We both went to St. Michael’s grade school in the small Italian neighborhood we called home, though he was there a few years later than I was. I guess if your dream when you grew up was to be a mobster, the sisters at St. Michael’s were still determined that you’d be a literate one capable of forming written sentences. It’s all so heartwarming. My fellow author and St. Mike’s alumnus – truly I travel in heady circles.
