I watched it on DVR… not even for royalty can I either stay up that late or get up that early. Two things struck me the most about it. One, Prince William actually looked like he was very in love with his bride and couldn’t quite believe his good luck in getting to marry her. Every time he looked at her, you could see an expression of true joy. Given his family’s history, that’s very nice.
The second thing that really struck me was the sense of majesty and history embodied in the ceremony. Marriage tends to be a throw away institution nowadays. It was nice to see it treated as something so majestic and special. Too bad Sir John and David will never get a chance to express that to each other and receive the same blessings.
