As a friend and I walked and enjoyed the sunshine of last weekend in Anchorage, the talk turned to plans she and her husband have for their future when they retire… a reality that is rushing up faster than most of us baby boomers ever imagined it would. She asked me what my retirement dream was. I allowed as how I really didn’t have one. I thought about that talk on and off for the next day and realized that the reason I don’t have any dream retirement plans is because I am so very happy and content with my life as it is that this is my happy retirement plan.
