I was in a meeting at a youth detention facility here and there was a new participant who said she worked with a group dedicated to getting kids home. Her group is called Bring The Kids Home. Well, she handed me a card and the title was shortened to initials. The initials were BTKH. I commented on how unfortunate that was since the BTK killer case. Everyone looked at me and asked what I was talking about. I blithely said that BTK stood for Bind, Torture, Kill and that was the name given to some church deacon in the midwest who lived a very unfortunate double life. The rest of the group stared at me like I was nuts. That’s when it occurred to me that not everyone was watching the same programs I was watching while I fed the birds.
